French Demonstration Against Nuclear Power, "Saturday, June 11, 2011 - three months Fukushima: Operation Red Card for the nuclear Energy " Now three months since the Fukushima disaster began , a disaster whose most serious aspects appears to be much higher than initial estimates. Yet governments and the nuclear industry does not seem to take the measure of urgency. Worse, everything is done to hide the situation there and to pursue whatever cost headlong atomic. Censorship and control of information, lies, endangering the Japanese population and nuclear workers, mock tests on the nuclear world: the disaster Fukushima reveals the cynicism of the nuclear industry and collapsed the myth of safety. More than ever, it is imperative to end the reign of the atom, leaving the nuclear and engage in a sober and renewable energy policy. Echoing the appeal of Japanese antinuclear, Réseau "Sortir du nucléaire", supported by eleven national organizations that signed the appeal "Nuclear: we have a choice" , were invited to the June 11 day of action and mobilization. Already, 48 anti-nuclear Demonstrations in support of the Japanese people were scheduled throughout France. More information about the Paris event is available here: http://www.sortirdunucleaire75.org/ The following organizations are supporting: Adequacy, ATTAC, The Alternative, Friends of the Earth Europe-Ecologie Greens, the GSIEN (Group of Scientists for Information on Nuclear Energy), the MOC, the NPA Party Left, Southern Rail, WECF (Women in Europe for a Common Future)." People Demonstrating in Support of Spanish Revolution, Place de la Bastille, May, 2011 "Democracia Real YA! París" "The movement of "indignant" is spreading across Europe. A protest movement blowing across Europe. It started May 15 in Spain via social networks, bringing together mostly young people but also people from all walks of life. Calling themselves the "Indigados, " the indignant, they protest against the austerity policies, job insecurity and unemployment. They demand the establishment of a "real democracy". Arab inspired revolutions, this movement has spread beyond Spain to reach Greece, France or Germany. Protestors occupy the places of the cities, setting up camps and come together to assert their claims so pacifist and self-managed. "Who are we? We are people who freely and voluntarily agree to meet to continue to demand dignity and political awareness and social development. We do not represent any party or association. We are united by a desire for change. We're here for dignity and solidarity with those who cry out for us in Spain and those who can not be here. Why we're here? We are here because we want a new society that places more emphasis on life to political and economic interests. We support a change in society and in social consciousness. We want to show that society is not asleep and that we will continue to fight for what we deserve by peaceful means. We want everything we want it now, if you agree with us, join us!"
